Here’s how a question works

  1. Before typing, read the card in this order: the tense first, because it changes between questions; then the verb; then the person.
  2. Type the verb for the person shown, then press Check. Example: parler, je — typed “parle”. Correct.
  3. Got it wrong? You see exactly which part to fix. Example: pouvoir, nous — typed “peuvons”. Not quite. The ending -ons is right. The stem for pouvoir in the présent is pouv-, not peuv-. Answer: pouvons.
  4. Two-word tenses: the helper verb, then the past participle. Example: être, tu — typed “as été”. Correct.
